Newt Gingrich Speech In Iowa Interrupted By Candidate?s ?Dancing Queen? Ringtone

The Des Moines Register?s Jason Clayworth reports a glitter-free campaign event in Ames, Iowa was interrupted by a different kind of fabulous: the ringing of Gingrich?s cell phone, complete with a dance-ready ringtone: Abba?s Dancing Queen. ?It?s just fun,? Gingrich said. ?I love that sequence. The energy. The excitement.?

Under intense questioning from Iowa reporters, Gingrich revealed he has not one but two Abba ringtones. He wouldn?t provide details about the second one. As for Dancing Queen, Gingrich said the song?s a favorite, and yes, he was warned it might not fit his desired presidential image:

The song is from the musical ?Mamma Mia.? Gingrich said later that he is a big fan of the movie version, starring Meryl Streep, and that his wife, Callista, warned him that the ringtone was going to get him in trouble.
